Tips for Planning your Blue Angel Airshow Experience

Arrive to Park Early

Parking fills up VERY early. The main parking lots have been known to fill up as early as 4am. Plan accordingly and be careful to not park in a no parking area as tow trucks are very active during the air show!

Some hotels offer viewing parties with shuttle services

Check into the reserved viewing parties at beach side hotels. Many offer buffets and drink otions on the pool decks and some offer shuttle services from parking in Gulf Breeze Proper.

Stay hydrated and cool

During the Air Show the beach water access is closed, meaning you will not be able to get in to cool off except during scheduled water breaks. Keep this in mind and stay in the shade and hydrated to avoid overheating.

Expect traffic

Right after the show ends everyone leaves the island meaning traffic will be congested for quite some time. Restaurants are also very busy during this time as many people will wait out the traffic by grabbing a bite to eat.

The week leading up to the airshow features practice flights, meet-and-greet events, and opportunities to watch the Blue Angels rehearse.

Weather could effect the show

In the event of poor weather, the airshow will be canceled. If traveling from out of town try catching the rehearsal flights on previous days to make sure you get to see the Blues fly!
