The Local Opens April 18 on Pensacola Beach: Your New One-Stop Island Shop

Whether you're a Pensacola Beach regular or here for the weekend, there's a new go-to spot for coffee, snacks, beach essentials, and more. The Local, a fresh take on the classic convenience market, officially opens its doors on Friday, April 18 at 11 AM.

A Market Made for the Island Life

Located right on Pensacola Beach, The Local was created with both visitors and full-time beach residents in mind. The idea came from locals who know the challenge of forgetting something at home—or needing a quick bite—without wanting to make a trip back over the bridge.

“We wanted to create something that serves the needs of the people who live and vacation here—something easy, convenient, and right down the street,” the owners shared.

The result is a vibrant, family-friendly space offering:

  • ☕ Fresh brewed hot and iced coffee

  • 🥯 Breakfast bagels and Boar’s Head deli sandwiches

  • 🍕 Artisan pizzas for dinner

  • 🛍️ Local vendor goods, crafts, snacks, and beach gear

  • 🍎 Fresh fruits and veggies

  • 🍷 A full liquor store with the widest wine selection on the island

Store Hours:

Market:
🕔 Open daily from 5 AM to 11 PM

Liquor Store:
🕗 Monday–Thursday: 8 AM–10 PM
🕘 Friday–Sunday: 8 AM–11 PM

Whether you're heading out for sunrise yoga or grabbing dinner before sunset, The Local is ready to serve you from early morning to late night.

A Place That’s Truly Local

From the food to the people behind the counter, The Local lives up to its name. Much of what’s stocked comes from nearby makers and businesses in the Pensacola area, making it a great stop to support local while picking up what you need.
